The Dragino LIG16 is a high-capacity 16-channel LoRaWAN gateway built on open OpenWrt Linux, giving network operators full control over packet forwarding configuration. Its flexible form factor supports both indoor rack-mount and outdoor enclosure deployments, making it a popular choice for building automation and smart agriculture projects across Europe.
The LIG16's OpenWrt base makes it trivial to point the Semtech packet forwarder at Kawkav Campo's ChirpStack v4 Network Server. The open firmware also allows custom scripts for local pre-processing before data reaches ThingsBoard CE, useful when bandwidth to the Kawkav Campo instance needs to be minimised in low-connectivity rural sites.
